Special Qualifications: Competitors may compete in each division, equines compete one time only. Schedule permitting, competitors may go twice in same division (second go HC, designate HC entry). Training Limit classes are open only to horse and driver not yet eligible for Preliminary division (Article 905.12c). Grooms/Navigators may be shared, carriages may be shared ONLY IF SCHEDULE PERMITS (request on event entry form on the website).

Course Walk and Briefings: Competitors briefing Thursday evening 7 PM; Course walk training only TBA. Presentation: On the move. Safety Check: 30 minutes prior to Dressage and Marathon. Dressage: Friday May 4, 8 AM. Marathon: Saturday May 5, 8 AM. Cones: Sunday May 6, 8 AM. Social Events: Thursday night buffet 6 PM. Friday night dinner 6:30 PM (Dressage awards presented). Saturday Competitors Dinner 7 PM (Marathon awards presented).
Dressage
Test(s): Training: Test 4 (40X80), Preliminary: Test 4 (40X80), tandems and teams Test 5, Intermediate: Test 1 (40X100)
Ring/Warm-up area Footing: Dressage ring, compacted sand, dirt and D/G, warm up area grass.
Other Dressage Info: Presentation on the move, Safety check 30 minutes prior to go. Court size will not be reduced for VSE’s.
Marathon
Terrain: Moderate hills, dirt roads through olive orchards and hayfields, mowed and prepared tracks through hayfields and forest.
Level: Training; 3 Sections; 8-12 km; 5 Obstacles
Level: Preliminary; 3 Sections; 8-14 km; 6 Obstacles
Level: Intermediate; 3 Sections; 12-15 km; 6 (possibly 7) Obstacles
Other: Training will be gated to allow for water to be optional, some permanent and some temporary obstacles. VSE’s will use three sections per ADS rules (Section A up to 3K).

Ring/Warm-up area Footing: Grass and /or rolled dirt warm up; arena is compacted sand, dirt and D/G.

Veterinary/Health Requirements: Negative Coggins within 1 year of the show date for out of state equines only.
Stabling Information: Stabling mandatory. Portable Stalls with top doors, pipe paddocks and wood layup barn. Stall assignments at organizers discretion. We will try to accommodate all requests. Use Event Provided Entry Form for stabling requests.
Driver/Groom twice around allowed on marathon? (Article 917) Yes, Driver may compete in all three divisions if schedule permits. Equines may compete only once. Training Limit classes are open only to horse and driver not yet eligible for Preliminary division (article 905.12.c). Second go in a single division is HC. Grooms/navigators, carriages may be shared only if schedule permits.
Awards Offered: Ribbons to 6th place. Special Awards, see website and announced at event.
Food Available on the Grounds: Hot beverages and water all day in hospitality area. Lunch at snack bar on grounds. Catered evening meals, pre-purchased (Thursday: Pasta Buffet $15, Friday Mexican Buffet: $15, Saturday Competitors Dinner: Ludi’s BBQ $30), use Event Provided Entry Form.

Camping On Grounds: Yes, no hookups, $35 fee.
Directions to Show: FROM THE BAY AREA: Take I-80 toward Sacramento, turn North on 505 at the Nut Tree, go 26 miles to Woodland turnoff, Hwy 16, go East 3.5 miles to Road 94 B, turn left and stay left through one set of stop signs and over a bridge, turn left Road 20 (there is a large sign for WSS). Entrance to WSS is on the right a short distance up Rd. 20. SOUTH FROM REDDING: On I-5, take 505 South to Woodland, Hwy 16 off ramp, go across the freeway and follow above. FROM SACRAMENTO: Take I-5 North past downtown Woodland. Exit to Hwy 16 West-Esparto, go back across the freeway three miles to second stop light, turn right on Hwy 16, go 3+ miles, Hwy 16 makes a slight left turn, DO NOT TURN, go straight on Road 22 about a mile to dead end, turn right, go across bridge take first left which is road 20 and WSS entrance is about 400 yards on the right.
