Tentative Schedule

Stable Opens: Thursday, July 29, 9 am; Secretary’s Office Opens: Thursday, July 29, Noon; Vet Check: None; Course Walk and Briefings: Thursday 5:30 pm, Drivers meeting, Friday 5 pm; Presentation: On The Move; Dressage: Friday 9 am; Marathon: Saturday 9 am; Cones: Sunday 9 am; Social Events: Thursday Night Wine & Cheese (no Fee). Bring your favorite Hors d’oeuvre to share. Friday Pizzas on the porch ($20), enjoy the fellowship of the other drivers and share stories and ask questions of experienced competitors. Saturday evening enjoy the competitors dinner ($30). Time to be announced. After the cones on Sunday we will have awards and you may stay and play in the hazards, dressage arena and cones for practice if you wish.

Dressage

Marathon

Terrain: Dirt roads, some gravel roads, some dips, some bumps
Level: Training; 3 Sections; as per ADS rules; Up to 5 Obstacles, 3 gates
Level: Preliminary; 3 Sections; as per ADS rules; Up to 6 Obstacles, 4 gates
Level: Intermediate; 3 Sections; as per ADS rules; 6 or 7 Obstacles, 5 gates
Level: Advanced; HDT Section ‘E’ ; as per ADS rules; 6 or 7 Obstacles, 6 gates
Other: Advanced will be scored only on Marathon Section E and Marathon Obstacles. All entries are allowed to drive all three sections for the good of their horses and all sections will be timed.

Ring/Warm-up area Footing: Ring/ Warm-up area, dry duck ponds. All cone settings per ADS minimum clearance for division entered. See the current rulebook.

Misc. Show info: Entry Requirements: Drivers or Grooms may compete with more than one entry at the discretion of the organizer, schedule permitting. Competitors going more than once, sharing grooms or vehicles must notify secretary at least two weeks in advance so schedule can be adjusted.

There will be a limited number of campers allowed on the grounds with prior approval, No hookups or showers. The Country Inns & Suites is the closest to the venue and it is the official hotel for the event. Directions to Show: On the 101 Freeway in Oxnard, CA take Rice Avenue South toward the ocean (Rice is between Rose and Del Norte exits) Take Rice to the end at Hueneme Road and turn right. Take the very first street to the left (Casper Road). Follow Casper to the end, go through the gate and continue to the green buildings that look like a 100 year old Motel. You have arrived. Please NOTE: The off ramps at Rice avenue are closed for construction. If you are coming South, exit at Rose to the right and turn left at Gonzalez to Rice and turn right and continue as above. If you are coming North, exit at Del Norte left, continue to end at E 5th Street. Turn right to Rice then left and continue as above.
