Other Dressage Info: I wish our dressage field (aka the neighbor’s pasture) was smoother! VSE ring may be smaller; if required by number of entries. If so, we will notify entries by July 15.
Marathon
Terrain: Farm roads, wooded trails; may pass cows, wooden bridge, stream crossing. Mostly level, but be prepared for July heat and Ipswich bugs. All VSE will do 5 km course.

Level: Preliminary; 1 Sections; 6 km; 5 Obstacles

Veterinary/Health Requirements: Negative Coggins within 1 year of show date
Stabling Information: Limited number of stalls within hacking distance. Others within 5 miles.
Driver/Groom twice around allowed on marathon? (Article 917) Intermediate Division drivers, navigators, and vehicles (not horses!) may also compete in the Training Division, but MUST notify the organizer with the entry. Sorry, but we can’t schedule “twice around” for Preliminary. NO LAST MINUTE REQUESTS, PLEASE.
Misc. Show info: Although Training Level is offered, this competition is not suitable for beginning drivers or very green horses due to the terrain, course sights such as light traffic, cows, and bridges, and the conditioning required for July heat.

Food Available on the Grounds: Yes, all day Sunday – just sandwiches and drinks.

Camping On Grounds: No
Camping Off Grounds: Yes, at some local stables. Previous arrangements required. No hook-ups.
Directions to Show: From N, W, and S: I95 or I93 to Route 128. Continue on Route 128 North to exit 20. Take Route 1A North (toward Hamilton) for 7 miles to Waldingfield Road on the left. Show grounds are 0.5 miles on the right. Look for signs. Directions to stabling will be sent individually. |
