About this event
Warwick Furnace Historical Ruins, Hosted by Barbara & Merrill Walters
Again this year, we are privileged to have the enthusiastic collaboration of the French and Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust (FPCCT) for our country drive. At the site of the historic ruins of the 1737 Warwick Furnace, which is in the Thomas P. Bentley Nature Preserve owned & maintained by FPCCT, recent “digs” uncovered cannons that were buried to hide them from the British. One of the cannons is now on display at the site. This drive through historic Chester County, and our traversing the grounds where Washington and his troops camped to protect the Warwick Furnace, should not be missed by driving enthusiast and spectators alike.
We are requesting a minimum $50 donation from each turnout.
