In Dressage, horses or ponies and their drivers drive individually in specified patterns and gaits to demonstrate the skills, obedience, and development appropriate to their levels of training before the watchful eyes of one or more judges. Dressage develops and displays polish, discipline, and athleticism of equine and driver dancing together.
The ADS Dressage Tests were created by the Driven Dressage Committee of The American Driving Society, Inc (ADS). As such they are the copyrighted and proprietary work product of the ADS and are exclusively for the private use of ADS Members, by ADS-Recognized Events, ADS-Member Club In-Person Events, and Equestrian Canada Sanctioned Events, or with advance express written approval of the ADS. Scoresheets are copyrighted by the ADS and licenses for their use outside of ADS Membership and ADS Recognized Events are provided on an individual basis.For-profit virtual shows should email or call the ADS office to obtain a license to use the ADS Scoresheets with the following conditions: All virtual tests must be judged by a licensed ADS Judge. The cost is $5/test fee per ADS Member $15/test non-Member fee.
